Drawings

Wednesday when I was making dinner Ruth Anne took out our nature walk bag, which we hadn't used in a long time. In the journal, she made a self-portrait. It was the first time I'd seen her draw people and portraits by pre-schoolers is one of my all-time favorite artistic genres.

Self-portrait

Close-up ("Where's my head?" Ruth Anne wanted to know)

(Blogger automatically reoriented these. I don't know how to fix it.)

Picture of Temur with nose.

Children with nannies (she named everyone as she drew them).

Going to the pool (wearing goggles)

Joe suggested I scan the pictures but I'm glad these are somewhat preserved in the journal. Actually since this initial output, Ruth Anne has gotten shy about her artistic ability again. I want more pictures by Ruth Anne. Ruth Anne wants us to draw her pictures of princesses.
