Joe and I ate the cinnamon rolls he set to rise yesterday evening and then started prepping food for a Christmas luncheon with the Turkmen women who work in the consular section. We took a break midway through to listen to the CD and play the instruments that were in RA's stocking. The lunch was terrific – pita bread with hummus and egg salad, squash gnocchi, feta cheese dip, vegetables, and cookies. It was a gorgeous day – too warm for sweaters – so after lunch we went outside and Joe bagpiped. Then Ruth Anne took a long awaited nap, while Joe and I watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
We snacked on lunch leftovers for supper and then started opening presents but since we want to stop and play with them, some will have to wait for tomorrow.
